The language school “Studienzentrum f\u00fcr deutsche Sprache und Kultur \u2013 SDSK,” founded in 2023, specializes in language instruction, particularly German as a foreign language. The close connection between theory and practice is particularly noteworthy. From now on, there are also \u00d6SD exams at SDSK.<\/strong><\/p>\n

German courses for all levels in a modern environment<\/h2>\n

The SDSK institution in Baku, Azerbaijan, offers a wide range of German courses<\/strong> for different age groups and levels \u2013 from A1 to C1<\/strong>. The programs also include targeted preparation for \u00d6SD exams.<\/p>\n

This includes Sevinj Rzayeva \u2013 the institution’s director and a professor of German Studies at Baku Slavic University<\/strong> for many years, where she holds various leading positions. Like the entire team, she brings her professional experience to the German courses, thus shaping the learning process according to high European quality standards<\/strong>. The teaching approach is driven by the latest scientific findings, which benefit the learners.<\/p>\n

Digital media, current textbooks, and project-oriented methods serve to make the lessons active and effective<\/strong>. Once a week, the native speakers among the teaching staff offer a conversation on a specific topic.<\/p>\n

Decision for the \u00d6SD<\/h2>\n

Sevinj Rzayeva is now also the \u00d6SD examination official<\/strong>. She says of an important step for her language school: “The decision to become a partner of the \u00d6sterreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch (\u00d6SD) arose from the desire to offer our students an official, high-quality exam opportunity on-site. As a licensed examination center<\/strong>, we want to facilitate access to internationally recognized German certificates while maintaining the highest standards.” The goal is also to expand the institution’s reach, establish further partnerships, and continuously improve its offerings.<\/p>\n

German in practice<\/h2>\n

In addition to regular courses, SDSK regularly hosts cultural events, language caf\u00e9s, and thematic workshops<\/strong>. These promote the practical use of the German language and support intercultural exchange. “We attach great importance to an open and supportive learning atmosphere,” emphasizes Ms. Rzayeva.<\/p>\n

A renowned German literary scholar from the University of W\u00fcrzburg \u2013 Sieglinde Hartmann<\/strong> \u2013 comes to Baku once a semester and meets with SDSK German learners. On these occasions, she gives lectures and seminars on German literature<\/strong>, culture, or regional studies, which has a positive impact on the students’ language development.<\/p>\n
