Information about the ÖSD computer exam
ÖSD exams are offered both analogue as “paper exams” and digitally as “computer exams”. Both versions can only be taken directly at the examination centre.
Technical notes for participants
- ▶ You can bring and use your own laptop (no tablet, no desktop PC) during the exam. The screen diagonal (display size) should be at least 13 inches (> 33 cm).
- ▶ The operating system should be at least Windows 8.
- ▶ At least 1 GB RAM and 512 MB free space are required.
- ▶ You may use an external keyboard and mouse, but only with a cable connection, Bluetooth or wireless is not allowed.
- ▶ For the Hearing part of the exam you need headphones, but only with a cable connection, Bluetooth or wireless is not allowed.
- ▶ The Safe Exam Browser must be installed and working before the start of the exam, otherwise you may not participate in the exam. You can find the installation instructions here.
Important note: The candidates are responsible for the functionality of their computer. We recommend using a computer no older than 6 years and to update the device and/or the operating system.
