ÖSD exams at Campus SDI and XD Tech in Chengdu
At its Language & Intercultural Training Centre in Munich, the SDI offers high-quality German lessons…
The ÖSD exam centre in New Delhi has set itself a goal: to introduce Indian students to Austria as an ideal place for training, study, and work. This includes not only German language training, but also preparation for a new living environment.
Study Feeds was officially founded in 2009 by Mr. Ankur Chaudhary. The goal was to provide Indian students with access to state universities in Germany. The first German language courses were established in 2014.
Today, the institute offers everything in one place: language training, support with applications to German state universities, assistance with visa matters, and help finding accommodation, among other things.
The Head of Cultural Relations, Pia Breunig, explains: “We not only prepare our students for the German-speaking environment with their language skills, but also familiarize them with all aspects of their new environment and daily life. This introduction covers everyday living conditions in the areas of housing, travel, shopping, food, general behavioral norms, dealing with authorities, transportation, and more.”
German is taught five days a week. There are several language courses at various levels (A1–C1). The teaching staff consists of highly qualified teachers who design their lessons according to the latest teaching methods. They are supported by modern IT equipment and authentic teaching materials.
All courses are held as intensive courses (20 teaching units per week).
Study Feeds even grants fee reductions in socially disadvantaged cases. The institute also regularly offers German courses free of charge or at special rates: at schools, development aid organizations, nursing schools, NGOs, and at IGSTC (Indo German Science and Technology Center, New Delhi).
Study Feeds is located in the historic center of the Indian capital, New Delhi. The same building houses additional offices and language schools. In addition to six classrooms, three office rooms, a kitchen, restrooms, and a library, there is a large multi-purpose room.
For administering digital exams – such as those for the Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch (ÖSD) – it has 35 fully equipped workstations (with German keyboards).
Study Feeds has currently set itself the goal of intensifying its relations with Austria. Therefore, it was important for the institute to become a partner of the ÖSD and thus a licensed examination center. “We introduce our students to Austrian educational institutions and suggest applications,” explains Ms. Breunig, who is also responsible for the ÖSD examinations. “In addition to traditional university programs, we also see excellent opportunities for in-depth vocational training, especially in the technical-electronic, medical, and hotel sectors.”
In India, Austria is still confused with Australia, says Pia Breunig. Thus, the aim is to present Austria’s advantages not only internally within the institution, but also to a broader public in India and its neighboring countries on the subcontinent.
The close collaboration with the Cultural Forum of the Austrian Embassy in New Delhi is a supportive factor in this process. Joint events are held regularly; among them, Study Feeds celebrated its 15th anniversary at the Austrian Cultural Forum in 2024 with a reading by the well-known Austrian author Folke Tegethoff.
Furthermore, around 40 principals of important schools in New Delhi were invited to introduce them to Austria, study and career opportunities in Austria, and the Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch (ÖSD).
Congratulations to our new ÖSD examination center, Study Feeds – the entire ÖSD team looks forward to a successful collaboration!
