Examination centre in Nashik, India: Institut i-Pro Edu
In the Indian metropolis of Nashik, in the state of Maharashtra, the Institut i Pro-Edu is an established centre for language teaching. Now it is also a member of the international ÖSD family and a new examination centre.
When the Institut i-Pro Edu (Institute for Professional Education) was founded in 2009, the journey began with a single teacher, in just one room and with eight participants. The rapid and extremely successful development has meant that the institute is now one of the best and largest providers of language tuition in the city of Nashik. There are numerous colleges in the neighbourhood, which is why many students choose to attend courses at i-Pro Edu.
Language teaching in the new examination centre with great commitment
“We are a team of passionate and multilingual teachers. Foreign language acquisition is particularly close to all of our hearts and we are particularly focussed on continuing education,” explains Swapnil Pathak, Examination Officer at i-Pro Edu.
German and many other languages
The institute offers German courses as well as language courses in English, French, Chinese, Japanese and Sanskrit. The number of learners has risen sharply in recent years: there are around 500 participants in German courses (A1, A2, B1, B2) every year.
Most of the courses take place in the form of evening classes. They last around three months and are held from Monday to Friday with two lessons per day. Each year, the examination centre offers ten courses for A1, ten courses for A2, eight courses for B1 and three courses for B2.
Creative lesson design at the Institut i-Pro Edu
The varied organisation of lessons is one of the central tasks of the teaching staff and plays a decisive role in the educational context of the language institute. The team is convinced that well-prepared lessons are the foundation for effective and efficient learning.
The teachers use various media and offer special learning activities every week. For example, there is a regulars’ table, a play date or a debating club so that learners can exchange ideas in a fun way and learn German at the same time.
Counselling for study visits
“In addition to language teaching, we are also experts in Study Abroad Consultancy. We support our students in pursuing their dream of studying abroad,” says Mr. Pathak.
He describes the counselling as a “value- and student-oriented service”. i-Pro Edu offers various end-to-end services. Every year, the Institute supports around 100 candidates in planning their respective study or research stays in German-speaking countries such as Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
New path as an ÖSD partner
The constantly increasing number of German learners shows that there is a great demand for courses and subsequently for German examinations in India. As a licensed ÖSD partner and thus ÖSD examination centre, i-Pro Edu would like to offer participants the opportunity to obtain an official qualification through the globally recognised ÖSD certificate.
