We are pleased to announce that DANK Haus in Chicago has been licensed as the second official ÖSD exam center in the United States.

As an established cultural center and language school, the DANK Haus in Chicago has further expanded its commitment around the promotion of German language and culture. As an ÖSD exam centre, they will in future offer German learners the opportunity to take the internationally recognized ÖSD German exams.

DANK House in Chicago: Teaching German language and culture

The DANK Haus is a renowned German-American cultural center located in the heart of Chicago. It is a vibrant meeting place for anyone interested in German culture, history and language.

The non-profit organization includes a museum, an art gallery and a library, as well as an adult language school and a Saturday school specifically tailored to the needs of school-age students. Here, the young participants learn about the German language and culture through play and develop a solid foundation for their future linguistic development.

In addition, a pre-school and a kindergarten are also offered, where children of pre-school age learn the German language in a playful and creative way. Pedagogically sound programmes promote language development, social skills and cultural understanding. In addition, educational and social programmes are organized that focus on the history and traditions of Germans and German Americans.
